My name is Mackenzie. I'm excited to share my journey with you. My travels throughout the world and my academic studies on the relationship between health and human rights have given me a deep passion for implementing projects focused on equitable international development and community healing. I'm currently serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, where I'm working in sustainable agriculture, health, and women's rights.

My Work

Here are some of my past and present projects, interest, and publications. My work ranges from overdose prevention research to human rights and international development. At the core of all my work is the community. I am deeply interested in how to create, build, and maintain strong community networks to support the development of a more equitable, fair, and free society so that all humans can reach their full health and potential.

Peace Corps

Serving as a public health volunteer in Peru with US Peace Corps, Peru to combat anemia and chronic childhood malnutrition in rural Peru.

Psychadelic Public Health

Decriminalizing psychedelics gives anyone who would like to explore the benefits of psychedelics the ability to do so without fear of criminal penalties, and can also significantly shift the conversation towards harm reduction and sensible regulation.

Global Impact Challenge

This signature event challenges participants to place humanity at the forefront of design thinking and innovation. Participants with various backgrounds, skill sets, and creative abilities will form teams and be tasked with coming up with unique entry points to hack Health and Human Rights.

Tedx BU

The stigma of homelessness comes from our societies misperception and misunderstanding of others situations and the factors that play into our health. The power of reading with strangers can be a meaningful tool for breaking down the barriers of fear and uncertainty that keep us from achieving a healthier world.
